What is Gano Excel About and are The Products as Good as They Claim? In This Article, We Delve Into the Business and To See If Its Worth it.
The world loves a good cup of coffee. People drink tons of the good stuff every day so there is certainly a huge market share for it. Of course, when the numbers are good, you will have major players in the field. Starbucks and McCafe are just some of them. By the way, you can get some great coffee at 7-11 for a buck.
But what if your beloved morning brew could offer health benefits as well aside from the usual morning wake up kick?
Gano Excel seems to be the company with the solution. Let’s dig in and found out what this morning coffee indulgence company is all about, shall we?
- Company Name: Gano Excel
- Website: ganoexcel.us
- Founder: Leow Soon Seng
- Rating: 4.1/10
What is Gano Excel
Gano Excel sells and distributes herbal infused beverage products through independent distributors. In other words, they are a typical multi-level marketing company.
Like all MLMs, they do have that unique magical touch that sets them apart from the rest of the crowd. With Gano Excel, it’s Ganoderma Lucidum. As you will learn, its far from unique or special.
Gano Excel was founded back in 1995 in Malaysia by Leow Soon Seng. They have done well for themselves because today they can be found in over 60 countries around the world.
On their website, they state that the aim is focussed on improving the health, wealth, and achievement of financial freedom by every family in every corner of the world without any exception.
Gano Excel products
As mentioned the main ingredient in Gano Excel products is Ganoderma Lucidum. It is a type of fungus from the mushroom family that plays a major role in traditional Asian medicine. The fungus contains a variety of interesting phytonutrients.
Apparently the fungus helps to boost the immune system, including helping to fend off viral infections such as swine flu, avian flu, help asthma, lung issues, heart problems, high blood pressure, etc.
Sounds too far fetched to me. Anyway, here are the products they have in store.
- Tongkat Ali. A popular type of tea. The drink from Gano Excel is actually instant coffee with Tongkat Ali and Ganoderma Lucidum.
- Mocha. Combination of coffee and cocoa.
- 3-in-1. Coffee, sugar, and non-dairy creamer. Instant coffee that you just need to add water to.
- Hazelnut. Hazelnut-flavored coffee.
- Classic. Basic coffee with Ganoderma lucidum.
- Rooibos tea. Simply rooibos tea with the added Ganoderma lucidum.
- C’real. The company describes this as an all including cereal.
- Schokolade. This is hot cocoa. It uses both non-dairy creamer and skimmed milk.
Recently they have added a toothpaste called Gano fresh, soap, and a small range of mineral and vitamin supplements.
What is interesting about these products is that do have some side effects on some people when ingested. It is recommended that you seek your doctor’s approval before indulging in your morning Gano brew.
How does Gano Excel work?
This is an old school MLM. Just like Amway, Herbalife, and the thousands of other MLMs out there you need to reach out to people to make money. Sell them the product then sell them the opportunity.
There are basically two ways to make money.
- Earn commissions through retail product sales.
- Earn commissions when those who join under you and recruit other new members.
This my friend, is the recruiting business. To get started you need to order a sample a $10 sample which comes with six different products. The idea is for you to try them out and if you like them then there are different packages that you can order. The more you invest the better the commission.
To understand how you make money, I will let this fine gentleman break it down for you.
Can you make money with Gano Excel?
Right out of the gate I can tell you making money with not just Gano Excel but most MLMs is no walk in the park.
Having said that, some people do actually become very successful in their network marketing business. I believe if you have the right mindset and have the ability to bring people together and pitch them the business idea en masse, then you might make money.
The sad reality is most people just suck at selling and people generally don’t like being sold stuff.
I personally haven’t used any Gano Excel products but my assumption is there might be some health benefits with mushroom additive. People do actually consume the stuff.
There is a lot of serious violation of misbranding and exaggeration of claims of medicinal treatment of various illnesses by the FDA. This is very common among many health and wellness MLMs.
Conditions like asthma and high blood cannot be cured with herbs. Every doctor will tell you that.
In fact, according to this article on WebMD, there is little evidence to support the claims that Ganoderma Lucidum has the capacity to cure some of these diseases.
On top of that, some people do experience side effects like dryness of the mouth, throat, and nasal area along with itchiness, stomach upset, nosebleed, and bloody stools.
Is Gano Excel a Scam?
I would not go as far as calling it a scam. Gano Excel has been around since 1995. Few scams can survive for that long.
Gano Excel has experienced legal issues in Canada and the US over the past several years which resulted in the company being shut down. Despite that, they are still around. I believe as long as a company has a product or service to offer than its business as usual.
Scams sell nothing but false hope. You may not agree with the business model but Gano Excel is still a legit company.
Gano Excel sells a popular product but in my opinion, it loses some credibility due to the false claims as a miracle cure and the side effects that some of the products have on some people.
Multi-level marketing seems to generate a lot of excitement, especially for newbies. The fact is, it’s incredibly hard to make money in this industry. I see it as an outdated way of doing business.
I was involved in a network marketing company for a couple of months and after approaching everyone I knew, nobody signed up. In fact, I ended up losing money.
According to this article on Wikipedia, over 99% of people who join MLM companies lose money. That is a big number. And yet people keep joining MLMs. The prospect of making money is always very tempting especially when you hear that it’s super easy.
The fall out rate is massive. Most people will be gone once they realize what they have to do to make money.
I also tend to think that it is not really a business. It’s more like working as a commission agent. Mr. Leow owns the business.
Are there better alternatives to Gano Excel?
I would say one of the most effective and long term ways to make money selling products or services is through your own website.
No need to run around chasing after people to join your opportunity. There are billions of people connected on the internet today. You just need to put yourself in front of part of that audience.
To prove it, its not a coincidence that you are reading this page. I had to do a fair bit of work to get you here. Works all the time.
I have learned how to do this through this online education platform.
This review is by no means meant to discourage you from joining or staying on with Gano Excel. If you feel you have what it takes then, by all means, go for it. If you don’t, just remember to keep your options open.
Great to have you here. If you have a question or a comment on the Gano Excel business opportunity, please leave it below. I would love to hear from you.
