What is Norwex
It seems that as long as a problem exists, there is a multi-level solution for it. For our tree-hugging friends and all people who can’t stand cleaning chemicals, Norwex seem to be the company with the solution for you.
Bjørn Nicolaisen grew up in a suburb in Oslo that was surrounded by trees and open rivers. The rivers began to get polluted in the sixties, and that had a profound effect on him.
Fast forward 1994, he was introduced to a miraculous cloth that could effectively clean a filthy windshield with the use of just simple microfiber and water. Apparently, its infused with a special kind of silver that suffocates and kills any bacteria it comes into contact with and, that is why you don’t need soap.
Not sure how that one works
This idea led on and he diversified into selling eco-friendly home cleaning products. Today they are among the most respected cleaning and personal care companies in the world. They currently operate in 14 countries around the world.
Norwex has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. They are based out of Coppell, Texas.
The Norwex microfiber cleaning cloth is their flagship product. They do however have other products for household, personal care, and sustainable goods.
They have tons of products. Here are some of them
- Washing-Up Liquid – An ultra-concentrated, natural formula made
with biodegradable ingredients.
- Spirinett – Extremely durable and long-lasting
scrubbers for really tough jobs.
- Fluff and Tumble Dryer Balls – Harmful chemicals like synthetic fragrances may be embedded
in dryer sheets.
- Mould and Mildew – Stain Remover
A highly effective stain-fighter quickly that
removes all traces of mold and mildew
stains from a variety of indoor and outdoor
Their products are not listed on their website but you can view them on this Norwex products pdf.
How does Norwex work
Joining to become a Norwex consultant does not cost anything. When you join, you receive a Starter Kit and product samples. All you need is to pay $9.99 shipping. If you feel that this is the business for you and want to take it to the next level, you can choose to purchase any of the following packages.
- Silver Package $165.87
- Gold Package $272.78
- Platinum Package $437.69
The higher up the tier you buy, the more your commissions on the products. There are generally two main ways one can generate an income as a Norwex consultant.
- Earn commissions through retail product sales.
- Earn commissions when those who join under you and recruit other new members.
That is just how most MLMs work. Number 2 is where the real money lies. If you can build a large team below you, you can expect to start making some really good income. There are also bonus rewards that are paid depending on how large your team is.
To stay active you will need to sell products worth $250 every 3 months.
The basic affiliate commission starts at 35% and goes up as you advance in the levels.

Can you make money with Norwex
That is the big question.
To be fair, yes you can but in all honesty, it’s a tough nut to crack. To a large extent, it really comes down to how good you are at closing sales. Some people are good at it, most are not.
This is multi-level marketing, and most people are simply not cut out for it. People don’t like being sold stuff and most people just suck at selling. Simply not as easy as a lot of people are led to believe.
There is no doubt the products are environmentally friendly which is great. Most household cleaning products contain dangerous chemicals that can have a negative impact on your health.
The products come with a 60-day satisfaction guarantee while the microfibre has a 2-year warranty.
They are also a very product-oriented company. Distributors are normally under no pressure to recruit. The prospect of making money will normally get a lot of people to at least try and get other people on board.
Are You Looking For a Way to Earn Passive Income
Without Having to Recruit?
On the BBB.org website, there are 16 complaints mostly regarding the refunds, billing, and shipping. Even though most have been closed it can have a negative impact on the companies reputation. Something worth looking into.
I also think the Norwex products are pricey compared to what you would get elsewhere. It would be less painful if you didn’t have to spend $250 on products every 3 months.
A lot of people would rather spend $7 on a bathroom spay than spend $30 to 40 for the same product.
Is Norwex a Scam?
Not even close.
It’s easy to be skeptical about joining MLMs due to the recruiting nature of the business. My take is as long as a company has a product or service behind it, you cannot brand it a scam.
Scams, particularly pyramid schemes, tend to take money out of your pocket using deceptive means. In most cases, they sell you an endless story of investing your money in nothing to grow your money.
Unfortunately, you have that pyramid scheme structure in most MLMs that is hard to distinguish. Kind of like the hunger games where only the best will thrive.
Most people at the bottom end up losing everything before the top dogs disappear and then reappear with a new scheme.
Norwex has been around for some time now. They are a legit business opportunity.
To most people, this might not be a very viable option to grow a business.
And by most, I mean the majority.
I was a former network marketer and aside from being a real pain to everyone I approached to join my business I spent a lot of money and never got to recruit even one person.
I might have approached over 300 people. Some of them were clearly not happy about it.
I had to face the facts. Was I really building a business or was I just helping someone else make their money?
Truth be told you are not really running a business. The people running the business are the people whose products or services you are selling. They dictate what you sell, price, and what you make for it. If you owned the business, you would have a say in that.
When you look at what it entails to host your friends, drive for appointments, attend meetings, etc you will agree that it doesn’t tally with what you will be making. All that talk about the business is easy and how anyone can do it is nothing but hot air.
The fact is, most people suck at selling.
According to this article on Wikipedia, over 99% of people who join MLM companies lose money. That is a big number. And yet people keep joining MLMs. The prospect of making money is always very tempting especially when people tell you its super easy.
I hate to burst your bubble but the odds are heavily against you.
Are there better alternatives to Norwex?
I would say one of the most effective and long term ways to make money selling products or services is through your own website.
Best of all you don’t need to recruit. People need to come to you. How about you check out how I make money online without having to recruit.
No need to run around chasing after people to join your opportunity. There are billions of people connected on the internet today. You just need to put yourself in front of part of that audience.
To prove it, its not a coincidence that you are reading this page. I had to do a fair bit of work to get you here. Works all the time.
This review is by no means meant to discourage you from joining or staying on with Norwex. If you feel you have what it takes then, by all means, go for it. If you don’t, just remember to keep your options open.
Many thanks for reading my review. If you have a question or a comment on the Norwex business opportunity, please leave it below. I would love to hear from you.
