Hi and welcome to my Color Street review. I would imagine you are here because you might be thinking of becoming a distributor with Color Street. Or maybe you are already in and just want to learn a bit more in regards to the business side of it.
First I must say its good that you are doing your research. The last thing you want to do is invest your hard-earned money in a business opportunity only for you to end up frustrated.
What is Color Street all about and can you make some good money with this opportunity? Well, let’s find out, shall we?
- Company Name: Color Street
- Website: colorstreet.com
- Costs: $129
- Founder: Fa Park
- Rating: 6.3/10
What is Color Street
According to an article on Statista, Nail polish generated sales of approximately 552.51 million U.S. dollars, accounting for around 40 percent of the nail products market in the U.S. in 2019.
As you can see there is a lot of money to be made in this niche and Color Street has strategically placed itself for a piece of the action.
It all began in 1984 when Fa Park was on a bus stuck in a traffic jam and saw a woman in a nearby cab trying to polish her nails. He thought, “There has to be a better way!”
There was a better way. Fa built a hand-made machine that would manufacture nail polish strips. It took him 15 years to perfect his machine, so as you would imagine there was a lot of trial and era.
Hard work pays off and today Color Street is one of the largest nail polish strip manufacturers in the industry.
The company’s products are inspired by New York’s “City That Never Sleeps” nonstop energy and wildly colorful fusion of cultures.
On their website, they state: Color Street is a creative beauty brand with limitless possibilities. We believe in supporting and empowering a person’s spirit & individuality. We celebrate entrepreneurs and inspire them to pave the road to personal success.
Color Street sells nail polish strips through independent distributors called stylists using the network marketing model.
Fa Park also owns Incoco and Coconut Nail Art. These 2 are not MLM companies but they sell the same products. They are based out of Clifton, New Jersey.
Color Street products
They have great products I must say. They also come in cool names like Hollywood Kiss, Tokyo Lights, New York Minute, and Meet Me in Paris. There is a fun aspect to the nail polish strips and I think they would appeal greatly to millennials.
The nail polish strips have a dry top but are moist under so they don’t break out easily when applied. Once you place them on, the strips are meant to stay in place for roughly two weeks or even slightly longer, so they say.
Honestly, that all depends on how often you use your hands. If you do nothing they will last longer but if you are constantly doing household chores, then it’s obvious they wont last.
These are the product lines that Color Street markets:
- Solid colors
- French manicure
- Glitter designs
- Nail art designs
- Fall collection
- Sports collection
- Valentine’s Day collection
Most of the patterns cost just around $13 each. There is a wide variety of patterns to choose from and I think its way better than traditional nail polish.
How does Color Street work
To become a distributor with Color Street you have to purchase a $129 starter kit. This kit comes with an assortment of Color Street products and nail-care accessories worth $250 so that should get you up and rolling with the business. Here are the goodies you get within the pack;
- 10 full sets of nail strips
- 1 French, 2 Solid, 2 Glitter, 5 Design
- 72 Testers
- 40 remover pads (2 boxes)

There’s also an upgrade version available for $299 as well. As with all MLMs, the more you pump in the higher the commissions.
So how do you make money?
Basically, there are two main ways one can generate an income with Color Street.
- Earn commissions through retail product sales.
- Earn commissions when those who join under you and recruit other new members.
That is just how most MLMs work. Number 2 is where the real money lies. If you can build a large team below you, you can expect to start making some good income.
Members can expect to earn a 25% to 35% retail commission, based on their total retail sales volume each month, which is pretty good.

Can you make money with Color Street
A 30% commission on a product that sells for $13 may seem like a joke. You will be surprised to learn, but there are some highly successful people in the Color Street business.
A lot of people might be so happy with their new look that they will keep re-ordering. As long as they are buying, you will be earning.
Color Street is a cool brand and I am sure if you have the right skillset and most importantly, mindset, you can make money.
That being said, the harsh reality when it comes to making money with network marketing is that it’s not as easy as a lot of people are lead to believe. People don’t like being sold stuff and most people suck at making sales.
I love the business and the story behind Fa Parks’s dream. It’s certainly paid off in the end. Nail polish strips are a good niche to get into since its highly targeted to a particular demographic.
They also do have a diverse array of dazzling designs and colors. They would certainly make for an easy sell.
Are You Looking For a Way to Earn Passive Income
Without Having to Recruit?
It’s hard to make money with the business since most of the products are low priced. You would have to sell hundreds of products to even make a decent income. That is why you recruit others to become stylists. Their efforts will yield you results.
Still, the income potential is still pretty low.
From the income disclosure snippet above whopping 99.23% made between $141 to $14,207 per year throughout 2018.
The BBB.org website has a list of complaints regarding the products, shipping, and refunds. Some of the issues were resolved while some haven’t. That does not inspire a lot of confidence. The company should make every effort to resolve every complaint leveled against them.
The other problem I see is the industry has a fair bit of competition. You can get similar products in the market and sometimes for less. Lily and Fox sell similar products for a fraction of the price offered by Colour Street.
Is Color Street a Scam?
A lot of people are skeptical about joining MLMs due to the recruiting nature of the business. As long as a company has a solid product or service behind it, you cannot brand it a scam.
Scams, particularly pyramid schemes, tend to take money out of your pocket using deceptive means. In most cases, they sell you an endless story of investing your money in nothing to grow your money. We all know that money does not grow on trees.
Colour Street is not a scam. They have been around for a long time. If they were a scam, they would have been shut down ages ago. I would certainly be cautious about investing my money due to the low-income potential as a business.
All in all, I think there is some potential to make money for the right candidate.
To most, it’s not a very viable option to grow a business.
I was a former network marketer and aside from being a real pain to everyone I approached to join my business I spent a lot of money and never got to recruit even one person.
I might have approached over 300 people. Some of them were clearly not happy about it.
Recruiting is very intrusive. Most people will feel like you are taking advantage of the relationship you have with them
I had to face the facts. Was I really building a business or was I just helping someone else make their money?
Truth be told you are not really running a business. The people running the business are the people whose products or services you are selling. They dictate what you sell, price and what you make for it. If you owned the business, you would have a say in that.
Most stylists sell the products through parties. When you look at what it entails to host your friends, drive for appointments, attend meetings, etc you will agree that it doesn’t tally with what you will be making. All that talk about the business being easy and how anyone can do it is nothing but hot air.
The fact is, most people suck at selling.
According to this article on Wikipedia, over 99% of people who join MLM companies lose money. That is a big number.
If you are just joining Color Street or thinking of joining ask yourself whether you really stand a chance at success. I hate to burst your bubble but the odds are heavily against you.
Are there better alternatives to Color Street?
I would say one of the most effective and long term ways to make money way you can make money selling products or services is through your own website.
You don’t even need to own the products to earn commissions with a website.
Neither do you need to recruit people to your business. People need to come to you. how about you check out how I make money online without having to recruit.
No need to run around chasing after people to join your opportunity. There are billions of people connected on the internet today. You just need to put yourself in front of that audience.
This review is by no means meant to discourage you from joining or staying on with Color Street. If you feel you have what it takes then, by all means, go for it. If you don’t, just remember to keep your options open.
Many thanks for reading my review. If you have a question or a comment on the Color Street business opportunity, please leave it below. I would love to hear from you.
