Beginner’s Guide to Affiliate Marketing
Grab your FREE guide and learn the fundamentals of affiliate marketing through a community of online entrepreneurs
Hi and welcome to my beginner’s guide to affiliate marketing. With the rapid growth of the internet and many businesses going online, there exist abundant opportunities for anyone to make money through affiliate marketing.
Unlike traditional ways of selling products where you have to purchase a product or service and resell the same for a profit, with affiliate marketing you don’t need to keep an inventory.
All you need is a computer and an internet connection. You will also need some skillsets and online tools.
What is affiliate marketing?
Most people who buy products online might not know it but in most cases, someone will earn a commission when you buy a product online from places like Amazon or eBay. It pretty much works the same way companies like Uber or Booking.com pay you a commission or give you a discount when you refer a customer to them.
With affiliate marketing, companies like Amazon have to pay commissions when people buy on their online store products after reading a review on an affiliate website.
This is where you come in. It all starts with a website. Once you have your website set up then all you need is to create content and as your content grows so will be the visitors coming to your website. The more visitors you attract, the more revenue you can expect to make.
Who is affiliate marketing for?
Anyone can become an affiliate marketer regardless of age, gender, geographic location, etc.
As long as you have a passion to learn and the willingness to put in the work, this could be the ideal business for you. It’s flexible and you can do it on your own time. You don’t have to quit your job, even though that would be nice. If you do it right it can easily turn out to be your fulltime hustle.
Why go into affiliate marketing
As long as people are shopping online, affiliate marketing will only get bigger. Companies like Dick Smith and Toy R Us have transferred all the operations online. Many will soon follow.
Fact. 81% of online shoppers research their products online before making a purchasing decision. Businesses understand this and so they are quite happy to offer affiliate programs to promote their products. There are over half a billion affiliate programs out there and the industry is only going to get bigger.
What comes with your beginner’s guide?
Every business starts with an idea. For that idea to grow and flourish it is important that you have a vested interest and passion for it. It’s much harder to promote products that you have little or no interest in than the ones you love and probably use.
